Coolpad Cool S price in Nepal is now Rs. 18,995 (4/128GB) instead of Rs. 22,595. So, it’s a discount of Rs. 3,600.

It is a budget mid-ranger with an Helio P60 chipset. What else does it have? Let’s take a look at it.

Coolpad Cool S Overview

Design

Coolpad Cool S has similar designs to the likes of Infinix Hot 9 Play. There’s a trendy rectangular shaped camera module on the rear with quad cameras. The back panel looks like a glastic one with a glossy finish.

On the front, it has a hole-punch on the top left. The fingerprint sensor is on the left side which is very unusual as it has the power button on the right. The volume key sits on top of the power key whereas the sim tray is right above the fingerprint sensor.

It comes in three colors: Night Black, Lapis Blue, and Moon White (not available in Nepal).

Display

Coolpad Cool S comes with a 6.53 inches FHD+ screen with a 1080 x 2340 pixels screen resolution.

It is an IPS panel and it does have pretty slim bezels in the renders but we expect it to be bigger than that. However, the hole-punch display is definitely a better choice than the notch display.

Coolpad Cool S is equipped with MediaTek’s Helio P60 chipset along with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

Helio P60 is quite an old chipset as it was first introduced in 2018. On paper, it is equivalent to Snapdragon 660 chipset. Helio P60 has Octa-core (4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU and Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. The chipset is decent enough for daily tasks and casual gaming. But it is definitely not the best performing chipset in this segment.

The fingerprint sensor is on the left so you will need to unlock it with the left hand or wrap around and unlock it with the index finger of the right hand. It supports face unlock as well.

Camera

Cool S has a quad camera on the rear with a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP Ultrawide sensor, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 0.3MP depth sensor.

On the front, it has a 25MP camera with a Sony IMX576 sensor for selfies.

Battery and OS

As for the battery, it sports a 5000 mAh battery. There’s no mention of fast charging though.

Furthermore, it comes with Android 10 out of the box.

Coolpad Cool S price in Nepal is Rs. 18,995 after a discount of Rs. 3,600 on its original price of Rs. 22,595 for the 4/128GB variant. It comes in two colors: Night Black, and Lapis Blue.

Coolpad Cool S sports a trendy design with a quad camera on the rear and a hole punch on the front.

However, the fingerprint sensor on the left side is questionable. While it will be easier for left-handed people, right-handed people will need to get used to it.

The phone has an average chipset for its price, which should provide decent performance and the camera setup looks promising.
