Nepali students interested in aeronautics and astronautics can now study in Nepal as Nepal is soon going to introduce aeronautics and astronautics engineering program in co-operation with China, reports Xinhuanews. The program offers a bachelor degree in aeronautics and astronautics engineering in the first phase.
A three-day workshop jointly organized by Nepal’s Tribhuvan University (TU) and China’s Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in Kathmandu opened up talks for the program. And now, an agreement is soon to be signed between these academic institutions.
Prof. Tirtha Raj Khaniya, vice chancellor TU said, “We are very happy to introduce this important engineering program, which will be completely new to Nepali students. We believe such International collaboration can produce capable human resources.”
While Prof. Tri Ratna Bajracharya, dean at the Institute of Engineering said, “Since Nepal is a mountainous country where aviation is the most sought transport, this program will be very suitable for Nepali students.” He added that he hopes that this program would produce globally competitive and capable professionals.
Before this, TU has already signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 18 Chinese universities in different fields, like civil engineering, medicine, business, economics, and others.
