2025 Ather 450S Arrives in Nepal with Price Drop and Better Range

The 2025 Ather 450S has officially arrived in Nepal.

Vaidya Energy, the authorized distributor of Ather scooters in Nepal, has introduced the 2025 Ather 450S for the Nepali market.

The Ather 450S is an affordable addition to the 450 series lineup. It was launched in Nepal as a follow-up success to the 450X, offering the same styling as the flagship but with slightly toned-down features and performance.

The 2025 update brings a considerable range boost thanks to the new “Multi-Coumpound” tyres, co-developed by Ather and MRF. Moreover, the new MRF tyres reportedly increase range by 25% by minimizing energy loss due to friction during braking and optimizing overall energy consumption.

Ather Nepal reports that the team has combined the MRF tires with hardware and software enhancements to achieve this improved range.

As a result, the 450S offers an improved True Range of 105 km, an increase from the previous range of 90 km.

To enhance its appeal, Ather Nepal has introduced the 2025 Ather 450S in a Sleath Blue color and has reduced the price by Rs. 25000.

Additionally, the Ather 450S comes with a 3-year (or 30000 km) Warranty on the Battery, Scooter, and Portable Charger. It should be noted that Ather Nepal offers an industry-first Eighty70 Warranty—8 years (or 80000km) coverage, but that optional battery warranty scheme is only available for Ather 450X for now.

Along with this, Ather has also introduced new AMC Schemes for easy scooter maintenance.

Ather 450S Overview

Design

The 2025 Ather 450S invokes a familiar sharp, compact, and unique styling.

The sharp-angled styling has been borrowed from its elder 450X. It continues to boast an outlandish, eye-catching profile.

The front section sports a sharp, protruding front fender, complete with an LED Headlamp with LED DRLs. Like before, the side indicators are cleverly integrated into the handlebar.

There is not much stylistic difference between the 450S and 450X, except for the badging.

The side design remains unchanged. It is built on a lightweight, heavy-duty hybrid aluminum chassis with a low center of gravity.

Likewise, the rear profile is also unchanged. It has a single-strip LED taillight with integrated indicators.

Additionally, the Ather 450X comes in Slealth Blue, Cosmic Black, Still White, and Space Grey colors.

Performance

Ather 450S is powered by a 5.4kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor. It generates a max power of 5.4kW and a max torque of 22 Nm with a 90 kmph top speed.

450S does 0-40 kmph in just 3.9 seconds!

It is supported by a 2.9kWh Lithium-Ion battery that can charge 0% to 80% in 7 hours and 45 minutes. It has a certified range of 122 Km (105 Km True Range).

The new “Multi-Coumpound” tyres, co-developed by Ather and MRF, have improved the True Range of 105 km from 90 km.

The 25% increased range is reportedly achieved by minimizing energy loss due to friction during braking and optimizing overall energy consumption.

Interestingly enough, the 450S specs are the same as the 450X LR. However, there are a few key differences between the two.

450S gets a 7-inch DeepView Display, but it misses out on Warp Mode, Google Maps, and Smartphone Connectivity. Nevertheless, Ather Nepal has included Pro Pack as standard.

It includes essential features like FallSafe, ESS, Coasting Regen, Side Stand Sensor, Ride Assist, and Auto Hold. However, it will not come with any connectivity features.

Telescopic Forks and Symmetrically Mounted Progressive Monoshock handle suspension duties.

The dimensions are 1891 mm in length, 739 mm in width, and 1114 mm in height. Moreover, the wheelbase sits at 1296 mm.
