Apple AirPods 3 with Spatial Audio and MagSafe Support is Available to Buy in Nepal

Apple had announced the third generation of AirPods (also known as AirPods 3) as part of its Unleashed event on October 18, 2021. Later in November last year, the new Apple AirPods 3 was launched in Nepal.

The Apple AirPods 3 price in Nepal is Rs. 31,500. The AirPods is available to buy from the Oliz Store and EvoStore.

Apple AirPods 3 Overview

Design

The AirPods 3 design appears to be a cross between the original AirPods and the AirPods Pro. The new AirPods 3 look similar to the AirPods Pro but without silicon tips.

The stem of the new AirPods is also shorter than the last-gen AirPods. And, it also features a force sensor for media control, which is found in more expensive AirPods Pro.

Each earbud weighs 4.28g and the case weighs 37.91g. Both the case and the earbuds are sweat and water-resistant to IPX4 standards.

Audio Features

AirPods 3 has a custom Apple driver and a high dynamic range amplifier. The microphone is protected by an acoustic mesh to assist suppress the sound of the wind, so the speaker’s voice can be heard clearly during calls, according to Apple.

Apple also brings the Adaptive EQ and spatial audio with dynamic head tracking feature to the AirPods 3, which were previously only available in the AirPods Pro and AirPods Max.

The Adaptive EQ, according to Apple, modifies sound in real-time based on how AirPods fit in the user’s ear—utilizing the inward-facing microphone—for an optimal listening experience with rich detail.

However, it still does not support Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode. The AirPods 3 has a skin-detect sensor, which can detect if the AirPods are in the ear and can automatically pause playback when removed.

It also features a new AAC ELD speech codec. Apple says it offers full HD voice quality during FaceTime calls.

Connectivity & Battery

For connectivity, AirPods 3 uses Bluetooth v5.0. It easily pairs with Apple devices with a one-touch setup.

Apple claims the 3rd generation of AirPods has an hour longer battery life than the previous AirPods, with up to six hours of listening time and four hours of talk time. And, users may obtain up to 30 hours of total listening time with the case.

The company also mentions that five minutes of charging delivers around an hour of battery life. Also, the new AirPods 3 now supports MagSafe and Qi wireless charging.

The AirPods 2 finally gets a refresh with a new design and features. The new AirPods 3 looks similar to the AirPods Pro but lacks silicon tips and an Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).

It does, however, bring some Pro features such as Spatial Audio, sweat and water resistance, Magsafe, and Qi wireless charging support.
