Xbox Series X And Series S Launched - Check the Specs & Price!

Microsoft announced that it will launch the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on November 10th for 499$ and 299$ respectively.

They have also mentioned that Xbox Series X will be available through Xbox All Access for $34.99 per month including Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. This time around the Xbox all-access program also includes EA Play at no additional cost.

Xbox Series X and Series S will be available for preorder starting September 22. It will launch without the Halo Infinite which has been delayed to 2020. Some of the games to launch along the Xbox are Assasins Creed Valhalla, Gear Tactics, Dirt 5, and Watch Dogs Legion. Xbox Series X and Series S will also support games from the original Xbox, Xbox 360, and the Xbox One.

Xbox Series X and Series S are using 8-Core AMD Zen2 CPU’s clocked at 3.8GHz and 3.6GHz respectively. Along with that, they are using AMD RDN2 GPU which is scheduled to launch on October 28th.

Xbox Series X is the more powerful among the two consoles. Microsoft claims that it can run new titles at 4k 60fps and up to 120fps. Whereas, the Series S can deliver 1440p at 60fps and up to 120fps. The Xbox Series S has 20 CUs at 1.565GHz, which calculates to 4 teraflops of performance, compared to the 12.15 teraflops (52 CUs at 1.825 GHz) found on the larger Xbox Series X.

Xbox Series S is a small console but the company promises that it is three times more powerful than the Xbox One. While there’s an obvious power gap between the two consoles, the Series S also has Microsoft’s Xbox Velocity architecture for the custom 512GB SSD, which enables features like Quick Resume to rapidly switch between games.

Xbox Series S is even cheaper than the cheapest version of the Xbox One. So, Microsoft is being really careful with the pricing of its next-gen consoles. Given the hardware capability of these next-gen consoles, the price looks attractive. However, Xbox cannot boast exclusive games like the PlayStation series which is also set to launch within a similar time frame.
