Samsung India has fixed the launch date for the much awaited Samsung Galaxy M30 smartphone in India. It is set to be released on February 27th, i.e. next Wednesday. There is a lot of buzz around this phone in India and in Nepal. So, we think, Samsung may think of bringing this phone across the border too.
What we know
It has been revealed that Samsung Galaxy M30 will sport an Infinity U display instead of the Infinity V-display found on the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20. We have also come to know that M30 will feature a Super AMOLED display instead of the LCD display found on the M10 and M20. This is the part that gets me excited. Even though Samsung’s budget phones didn’t look that good from the outside, their screen had always been on another level compared to its rivals – thanks to Samsung’s AMOLED technology. They ditched AMOLED for LCD in the M10 and the M20 but thankfully they are bringing it back with the M30.
Coincidentally, (anyone can see that it was deliberate) the release date of the Samsung Galaxy M30 is just a day before the release date of Redmi Note 7 from Xiaomi. That’s a … move from Samsung. I don’t want to specify what kind of move.
What we sort of know
Other specs that Samsung officially confirmed was that the M30 will come with a 6.4 inch FHD+ Super-AMOLED screen and a triple camera setup. There will be a regular fingerprint setup at the back.
Now, if we are to believe in leaks and rumors, the Galaxy M30 will come sporting an Exynos 7904 SoC, a capable midrange processor. It will be accompanied by 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The front camera is said to be 16MP.

But the best part about the phone, it seems to me, is the battery. It is a massive 5000mAh battery which, when combined with the power efficiency of an OLED screen, would mean a long battery life on this smartphone.
Something at the end
Of course, none of these specs other than the screen have been confirmed. But everything will be clear on February 27th. The pricing hasn’t been revealed yet but it is said that it would be sold around Rs. 15000 at India. So, it will come under 30K in Nepal, possibly even under 25K.
