Century Bank has recently signed a MoU with Khalti to make digital payment possible. The agreement was signed by Mr. Deepesh Pradhan, Chief Operating Officer of Century Bank, and Mr. Amit Agrawal, Director of Khalti.
According to a press release, this agreement will allow Century Bank customers to load balance into their Khalti accounts via Century mBanking app. After the balance has been loaded, customers can make digital payments via Khalti’s mobile application and web service. The report also states that this initiative was taken to help consumers go cashless and facilitate hassle-free transactions.
Khalti, started back in early 2017, has been speedily gaining users and they now have more than 700,000 users, that use Khalti on a regular basis to make payments. It allows users to pay for mobile balance top up, electricity/water bills, DTH and internet bills, movie ticketing, airline ticketing, hotel booking and other services as well.
