Huawei Nepal recently released its camera phone, the Huawei Nova 2i. Huawei Nova 2i is an exciting mid-range smartphone, with a quad camera setup, a bezel-less IPS LCD display, and a reasonable price tag at Rs. 33,900. There are lots of other options for a similar price tag, though not all of them carry a bezel-less display and quad cameras.
So, if you’re wondering if you should buy the Huawei Nova 2i or not, we’ll give you four reasons to buy the Huawei Nova 2i.
Four Reasons to Buy the Huawei Nova 2i
#4. Full View Display
Huawei Nova 2i comes with a large IPS LCD screen. The screen is 5.9-inch with 1080 x 2160 resolution. That’s a good 409 pixels per inch. It follows the trend of 2017 with an 18:9 ratio Full View display and the combination of these factors make the pictures come to life. The colors are saturated and rich with excellent viewing angles. Also, there is no noticeable screen bleed.
The Full View display on the Nova 2i is fabulous while playing games, watching multimedia content such as videos and makes for an outstanding immersive experience. This device is certainly one of the best budget smartphones with a Full View display in Nepal.
#3. Quad Camera (Nepal’s First Smartphone With 4 Cameras)
Huawei Nova 2i is one of the few smartphones and Nepal’s first smartphone to have quad-cameras. The smartphone comes with a groundbreaking four onboard cameras: two front-facing (13MP + 2MP) and two rear-facing (16MP + 2MP). Both of these setups specializes in capturing depth information and portraits with bokeh effect. Yes! you can capture selfies with bokeh effect on the Huawei Nova 2i. Now, not many mid-range smartphones in the market let you do that. To top it off, the camera has lots of exciting features and modes like document scan, audio note, slow-mo, HDR, filters, time- lapse, panorama, light painting and the night shot mode. Plus, “Pro Photo” mode lets you dive into little details like ISO, apertures, and temperature.
Nova 2i also features a soft light feature for selfies. This provides butterfly lighting effect which is useful for capturing portraits. Basically, this causes a little ‘butterfly’ shadow to appear directly underneath the subject’s nose. This causes the face structure to appear much more defined and the selfies appear more appealing. Let’s just say Huawei has put a lot of effort on the dual front cameras. Therefore, this just might be the best selfie camera smartphone in Nepal.
It might take you a while to wrap your head around the camera’s settings. Tweaking small details and settings to get that perfect picture. All in all, this device has a perfect camera for the price!
#2. Performance with Excellent Experience
Huawei Nova 2i is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 659. And it comes with an octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz along with a 4GB RAM. It runs on EMUI 5.1 with Android Nougat. And most of all this device gives you an excellent lag-free experience. Furthermore, gaming, multitasking or working on any app is smooth as butter. Users can use multiscreen mode, inbuilt pedometer, phone manager, app twin and other features. This just adds more flavor to the experience.
Huawei Nova 2i practically has everything! Strong performance, good hardware, smooth software, and the list goes on. This device will deliver good performance each and every time. Though this device might struggle with extremely graphics intensive high-end games.
#1. Price
There is no going around it, Huawei Nova 2i comes an impressive price tag. At just Rs. 33,900; the mid-range device brings more to the table. It brings a large screen with the bezel-less display, astounding four cameras, powerful performance under the hood. All these features come with an affordable price tag. There isn’t much you will sacrifice with this device.
While it does miss few much-needed features like USB Type C, it is still worth every penny!
These are the four reasons to buy the Huawei Nova 2i. We will release our Full Review of the device in the future. Until then, keep reading more tech news at TechLekh.
