
Kathmandu and Lalitpur are soon to have more public buses. Sajha Yatayat, a cooperative public transport company, in coordination with Kathmandu and Lalitpur metropolitan cities is planning to add 20 more buses.
Sajha has acquired Rs 50 million from Kathmandu Metropolitan City(KMC) and Rs 10 million from Lalitpur Metropolitan City(LMC) for this purpose.
With this money, Sajha will buy deluxe buses to operate in routes outside the valley. It will also buy a semi floor bus to add it its fleet.
These new buses will be disabled-friendly and wheelchair users can use the bus services easily.
Sajha’s Chief Executive Officer Mahendra Bahadur Pandey informed that the new routes will be determined soon in consultation with KMC and LMC.
