Maxus eTerron 9 Price in Nepal and Availability

Maxus eTerron 9 price in Nepal will start at Rs. 99.99 Lakhs.

The official distributors have confirmed that the eTerron 9 is likely to launch on May 14, 2025. However, eager buyers can already pre-book the vehicle ahead of its official debut.

The distributors have adopted a low-margin, high-volume strategy for the eTerron 9. This is clearly reflected in its pricing, especially considering that pickups usually demand a much higher price in Nepal.

At its current price point, the eTerron 9 presents an exceptionally compelling value considering its all-wheel drive, an electric powertrain, and a rich feature set.

That said, the distributors plan to revise the price to Rs. 1.05 Crore after an initial period, so early buyers stand to benefit the most. Also, the eTerron 9 comes with a 5-year (or 160,000 km) vehicle warranty and an 8-year (or 200,000 km) battery warranty.

The Maxus eTerron 9 is entering a relatively underdeveloped segment in Nepal, but it’s not without competition.

The Riddara RD6, which recently launched with a 4WD variant, has already set a precedent and now stands as a potential rival to the eTerron 9.

Despite this, a closer look at their specifications reveals a clear gap between the two. The eTerron 9 holds a distinct advantage across several key areas, however,  it also comes with a significantly higher price tag, costing around Rs. 17 lakhs more than the RD6.

That said, the eTerron 9 justifies its premium pricing. It offers a longer wheelbase, a more powerful powertrain, a greater driving range, and a larger overall storage capacity. Its suspension setup also enhances ride quality.

Most importantly, the eTerron 9 carries a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating, a benchmark the RD6 fails to meet, as it lacks any officially published safety rating.

What do you think about the Maxus eTerron 9? Is it an intriguing offering for the current EV market of Nepal? Let us know in the comments!
