The NIU FQi300 goes head-to-head with the Ather 450X, which recently received a price cut in its 2025 update.
Focusing on the 2.9 kWh variant of the Ather 450X, it now costs Rs. 20,000 less than the FQi300. Despite the lower price, the 450X delivers better performance with a notable 2.2 PS power advantage.
When it comes to features, the 450X clearly takes the lead. It offers seamless Turn-by-Turn Navigation, Auto Hold, Emergency Stop Signal, Fall Safe, and Park Assist. These features are noticeably absent on the FQi300.
That said, the FQi300 still makes a compelling case for itself. NIU Nepal claims that the scooter is specifically aimed for Nepali road conditions, which adds a layer of local relevance to its appeal.
While its higher price tag might raise eyebrows, the company’s bold claim of a 150 km* range helps justify the premium, especially for those prioritizing longer rides on a single charge.
