The CMF Phone 1 was launched in Nepal on July 8, 2024. CMF, a subbrand of Nothing, is a London-based consumer technology brand that focuses on affordable devices. The first products CMF debuted were the Buds Pro earbuds, the Watch Pro smartwatch, and the Power 65W GaN charger. The CMF Phone 1 is the first phone from the Nothing subbrand.

The CMF Phone 1 comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, a Super AMOLED display, a 50MP main camera, and a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging; all encased in a plastic body with interchangeable back.

CMF Phone 1 Overview

Design

CMF Phone 1 has a removable back panel secured by exposed screws. A wheel in the corner serves as an anchor for attaching accessories.

The phone is mostly made of plastic and synthetic materials. The frame is plastic, and the rear panel appears to be faux leather. The CMF text is printed bottom left of the back panel.

The phone also includes two cutouts for the camera that are surrounded by a differently colored pill-shaped border alongside one flash module on the right. The device comes with differently colored power and volume buttons as well.

Display

Moving onto the display, the CMF Phone 1 features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels. This punch-hole display supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a peak brightness of 2000 nits.

Additionally, the display embeds an optical fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.

Hardware

A MediaTek Dimensity 7300 octa-core processor powers the CMF Phone 1. The 4nm chip has 4x 2.5 GHz Cortex-A78 high-performance cores and  4x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. A Mali-G615 coprocessor handles all the graphics.

The smartphone features up to 256GB storage and 8GB of RAM with support for microSD card.

Cameras

In terms of cameras, the smartphone arrives with a dual-camera setup. The main camera has a 50MP Sony sensor which is accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor.

The selfie camera is a 16MP shooter. The rear camera is able to record videos up to 4K at 30fps whereas the selfie camera is able to record videos up to 1080p at 30fps.

Battery and OS

The CMF Phone 1 comes with a 5000mAh rechargeable battery that’ll charge via a USB-C connector. The battery supports 33W fast charging.

In the OS department, the phone is shipped with Android 14 topped with Nothing OS.

CMF Phone 1 Price in Nepal and Availability

After the price cut, the CMF Phone 1 price in Nepal is Rs. 31,699 (8/128GB) and Rs. 36,299 (8/256GB). Initially, it was Rs. 36,999 for the 8/128GB variant and Rs. 41,499 for the 8/256GB variant.

Until September 6, 2024, on the purchase of the CMF Phone 1, you can get the CMF Buds at just Rs. 2,000. You can purchase the phone from Daraz, Hukut, and CG Digital.
