Motorola Moto G9 Play Price Revealed for Nepal, Sale Starts on Dec 12 via Daraz

Motorola recently unveiled two new smartphones that will be launching in Nepal. Among them, Motorola is set to launch the Moto G9 Play in Nepal on Daraz’s 12.12 sale which is happening on December 12.

In a recent post, Motorola Nepal has also mentioned that the Moto G9 Play price in Nepal will be Rs. 19,990. Also, it looks like it will be available in two colors: Forest Green and Sapphire Blue.

The Moto G9 Play is a budget mid-range smartphone from Motorola with a Snapdragon 662 chipset. But what else has it got? Let’s check out in brief.

Design

Motorola Moto G9 Play sports a plastic build with a plastic frame and plastic rear. Motorola mentions that the Moto G9 Play has a water repellent coating. It features a square-shaped triple camera module on the rear with a fingerprint sensor right below it.

On the front, it uses a teardrop notch with thin bezels but a noticeable chin. It also has a dedicated Goggle Assitant button on the side.

Display

Moto G9 Play has a 6.5-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. They call it a max vision display that has a 20:9 aspect ratio.

The display has an 82.2 screen-to-body ratio and has 269 PPI pixel density.

Hardware

Moto G9 Play is equipped with a Snapdragon 662 chipset. Along with that, it has 4GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Snapdragon 662 is an 11nm chipset. It has an Octa-core (4×2.0 GHz Kryo 260 Gold & 4×1.8 GHz Kryo 260 Silver) CPU and Adreno 610 GPU. This chipset is similar to Snapdragon 665. Snapdragon 662 uses the same Kryo cores as the Snapdragon 665 with the same clock speed. On top of that, both of them use the Adreno 610 GPU.

Latest Mobile Prices

This chipset is used on the likes of Poco M3 as well. Snapdragon 662 is a good enough chipset for a budget phone as it will provide good general performance. Though gaming performance is not its strength, it should have an easier time pushing pixels on G9 Play’s HD screen.

Camera

Moto G9 Play comes with a triple camera setup on the rear. It has a 48MP main sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor.

On the front, it comes with an 8MP sensor for selfies.

Battery

Moto G9 Play has a 5000 mAh battery and supports 20W fast charging. Motorola claims that the phone can last for 2 days.

Furthermore, it runs on Android 10.

Motorola Moto G9 Play price in Nepal is set to be Rs. 19,990 when it launches on December 12. It will be available on Daraz’s 12.12 sale on December 12.

Motorola Moto G9 Play is a solid budget mid-range option. It has a decent chipset, a good camera setup, and a big battery. The HD+ display is slightly disappointing but for the price, it’s acceptable. This puts the Moto G9 Play right in line with the new Poco M3 with an identical spec sheet. It is a bit expensive than Poco M2 and Poco M3 is yet to launch in Nepal. But the pricing is definitely in the right ballpark.

So, this is turning out to be a really good option in the budget mid-range segment.
