Smartphones are evolving; they’re getting better everyday and strangely they’re starting to get cheap. Just think about mid-range device 2 years from now and the ones that are available in the market! And it’s not just midrangers that have upgraded, budget and entry level phones have gotten exponentially better too.
This article is about one of those upgraded pieces of machinery. Infinix, a fairly uncommon company has debuted in Nepal with an entry-level “Infinix Smart 4” device; credits to Sarathi Enterprises. The phone’s been exclusively launched in Nepal through Daraz for an entry level price of Rs 11,500. Since it’s an exclusive launch, there’s a 4% discount offered in the phone; which lowers the Infinix Smart 4 price in Nepal is Rs. 10,999!
Now then, for Rs 10,999 is a phone that you should be concerned about? Well, let’s find out.
Infinix Smart 4 Overview: Bang for the Buck!
The Infinix Smart 4 is distinguishably unique from all the other budget phones in its category. The polycarbonate chassis designed in a way that mostly portraits mid-rangers gives it that unique glow. The vertical camera module coupled dual LED-flash and the dew drop notch system implemented; even though copied is still quirky in this budget segment.
The display in particular, is the distinctive attribute that I was talking about earlier. The phone features a 6.6” IPS LCD that stretches all the way up to 720p. What’s surprising is that this phone retains an 82.9% screen-to-body ratio that gives it an edge when put against competitors.
Underneath the polycarbonate exterior, the phone packs in the typical quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor. For support, there’s a 2GB RAM alongside 32GB internal. On the surficial side of things, the phone hosts an Android 9 Pie (Go Edition) software. Since the processor isn’t all that powerful, the software should pretty much handle the device well.

Infinix Smart 4 Price in Nepal: Rs 10,999 (Exclusive Price)
The camera department seems a little empty though. You get a total of 2 camera modules altogether. Over to the rear, is a single 8MP camera module that comes equipped with a dual-LED flash combination. Rotating over to the front, you get a 5MP front camera for selfies. However, it’s still an entry level phone so its fine.

And lastly, there’s a 4000mAh battery capacity embedded under that powers the entire device. For a phone that uses Android Go, this battery should easily last more than a day. So, cheers to the battery!
Infinix Smart 4 Price in Nepal & Impressions
As written earlier, the Infinix Smart 4 price in Nepal is Rs. 11,500. However, with daraz discount you can buy its at Rs. 10,999.
The Smart 4 is a pretty decent device for the entry-level segment that it’s competing in. The design, display refresh was kind of needed in the entry level category. Even though it’s a bit behind in the processor and camera department, I would still vouch for this phone. Android Go and the considerably larger battery size on this phone can pretty much cover the minute cavity in this phone.
So, that’s my take on the device. What are your thoughts, is the bang worth the buck for you? Do let us know in the comments down below.
