Zontes ZT 125 – 125cc Crossover Naked Adventure Launches Soon in Nepal!

Zontes ZT 125 U1 is coming soon in Nepal.

Iron Monk, the authorized distributor of Zontes bikes in Nepal, plans to expand its segment with three new motorcycles.

ZT125-U1, ZT310-T, and ZT350-T are all confirmed for arrival in the Nepali market.

In this article, we will put our focus on the Zontes ZT 125.

It is very similar to the currently available ZT 150 in its adventure-sport styling. However, it features a smaller 125cc with a more aggressive asking price!

Like its sibling, the Zontes ZT 125 is a funky, fun, and versatile naked/adventure sport with plenty of gadgets and features to redefine the premium 125cc segment.

Zontes ZT 125 Overview

Design

Zontes ZT 125 is an aggressively-styled adventure motard.

It strikes a good balance between the naked sport and adventure sport, creating a unique crossover motorcycle.

The front section sports a Beak-Styled Mudguard, Compact Visor, and Knuckle Guards.

It gets a compact LED Projector setup, integrated twin LED DLRs, and LED Indicators. Interestingly, it is an all-LED setup.

The side profile further highlights its crossover DNA.

It includes a Sporty Split-Seat Setup, Muscular Fuel Tank, Crash Guard, and Stainless Steel Exhaust System. Moreover, the spoke wheels are equipped with All-Terrain Tyres.

Zontes ZT 125 includes a bit of practicality as well.

The pillion seat is easily removable, featuring a nifty luggage box.

Additionally, the Zontes ZT 125 comes only in Orange color.

Performance

Zontes ZT 125 U1 is powered by a 124.7cc, Single Cylinder, 4-Valve, Water-Cooled, Bosch EFI Engine. It can generate a max power of 14.48PS at 8500 rpm and a max torque of 13Nm at 7000 rpm.

Moreover, it is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a 12.5-liter fuel tank capacity.

There are Eco and Sport Riding Modes.

It uses the latest ECU from Bosch for Fuel Injection Management for optimized performance and economy.

ZT 125 features Aluminum Alloy Cylinder, Galvanised Fuel Tank, Aluminium Alloy Swing Arm, Slipper Clutch, and Large Radiator to boost its performance and longevity.

Additional Details

USD Fork and Center Mount Mono Shock handle the suspension duties.

The tyres are tubeless: 110/70-17 section at the front and 130/70-17 section at the rear. It gets Dual Disc Brakes with Bosch Dual Channel ABS.

The dimensions are 2005 in length, 865mm in width, and 1120mm in height. Moreover, the wheelbase sits at 1370mm.

Zontes ZT 125 U1 gets a 160mm ground clearance. And, the running weight is 150kg.

Interestingly enough, the dimensions match the ZT 150 U1. However, there is a reduction in ground clearance.

KTM Nepal tried to create a premium 125cc segment with the KTM Duke 125 a few years back.

Unfortunately, many were not ready to spend their hard-earned cash on 125cc naked sports. Instead, preferred to add a few more and get the KTM Duke 200 instead.

Inevitably, KTM Nepal discontinued the KTM Duke 125 for the Nepali market.

However, time has changed for the better. Maybe things will be different for the Zontes ZT 125.
