Wiki Loves Earth 2016, an international photographic competition for the second time in Nepal

Wiki Loves Earth is an international photographic competition to promote natural heritage sites around the World through Wikimedia projects (mainly Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons). The competition is set to start on May 1, 2016.

This is the second time it is being organized in Nepal. Wikimedia Nepal has already participated in Wiki Loves Earth 2014/2015 and around 6100+ pictures have been uploaded under creative commons license through this event.

This event is free for everyone, even if you are a newbie you can participate and manage to win.

• Start date: 1st May 2016
• End date : 31th May 2016
• Decision of Competition: 10 June 2016

Prizes

Cash prizes will be awarded to best three photographs.

• 15,000 NPR
•  10,000 NPR
• 5000 NPR

Other categories

• Top Contributor (by numbers of photographs) 5,000 NPR
• Top 10 contributors (by number of photographs) will be rewarded with WLE T-shirt and all participants of the competition will reward by certificate of Participation.
