From the new educational session of 2075/76, Tribhuvan University (TU) will be introducing Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering. According to a university spokesperson, a total of 48 students will be selected for the course via a computer-based exam.
The Details:
- Four faculty members from TU will be responsible for running the aerospace engineering course; the syllabus is yet to be decided upon.
- Back at the beginning of 2018, the plans had already been made for TU to introduce Bachelor degree in Aeronautical Engineering in collaboration with Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), China. The approval for starting the course is yet to be done.
- According to the MoU, NUAA can offer a short-term exchange program for IOE students for one or two semesters and TU can offer NUAA students to study summer program for two weeks in IOE; no degree from either side can be awarded.
- Likewise, besides the students selected by IOE, TU students can continue their study at NUAA with Nanjing Government Scholarship or University Scholarship especially for Ministry of Education (MoE) approved Bachelors program including Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, International Business and Electronics and Electrical Engineering.
