After the successful release of 4GB variant of OPPO F5, OPPO is planning to release the new variant of OPPO F5 (Black Edition) in the Nepali market. The new variant now supports 6GB of RAM. As the other OPPO’s smartphones, the main highlight of this phone is the camera. The price of 6GB OPPO F5 variant has not been finalized yet but we expect it to be around Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 45,000.
Specification Outline
OPPO F5 comes with a huge 6.0 inches full-HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels along Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by MediaTek MT6763T Octa-core SoC. OPPO F5 packs 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB. The device also comes with a 6GB of RAM.
As far as the cameras are concerned, it has a 20-megapixel primary rear camera with a f/2.0 aperture and a 16-megapixel front shooter with dual-LED flash and a f/1.8 aperture for selfies. It uses artificial intelligence tech to scan over 200 facial recognition spots to produce better selfies. Oppo F5 runs ColorOS 3.2 based on Android 7.1 Nougat. It is powered by a 3200mAh battery.

Impression
We had many expectations with the new variant of Oppo F5 but it didn’t work as we had expected. The new OPPO F5 6GB variant adapted the same specs as of the earlier variant expect the RAM and internal storage. Now the RAM and internal storage are upgraded to 6GB and 64GB respectively for fast performance and better multitasking. If they had upgraded to Snapdragon processor the multitasking capacity would be even better.
18:9 aspect ratio makes the user easy to enjoy the article and watch videos. With this price point, we expect the phone to be water resistant and support fast charging facility but it’s disappointing that OPPO did not think about it. Despite its single-camera, OPPO F5 supports Portrait mode or bokeh effect which is very impressive.
