The process that takes almost seven days is going to be just a click away. The Character Verification Report(CVR) process, very important yet tiring process, is going to go online.
What is it: The CVR is mandatory when applying for a visa, abroad study, foreign employment and local and international jobs. The Nepal Police plan to launch an online portal for the CVR process to bring about institutional reform.
How it works: When the applicant applies for the CVR, the concerned authorities will draft the character verification report. They will then electronically process it after verifications and pass it to local police stations for issuance.
How it helps: With the CVR process going online, people living in abroad and the rural areas can easily apply for CVR. This will make it easier and efficient for both the applicant and the police officers.
