Alongside smartphones, smart wearables like fitness bands are getting popular right now. Lots of new brands like Oppo and Realme have entered the market recently. The next one to do so is OnePlus.
OnePlus India teased the launch of the OnePlus band on its Twitter account. The tweeted image includes the text “The New Face of Fitness Coming Soon”.
A subsequent tweet from OnePlus India links to Amazon India where some of the band’s features are mentioned.
Some of the features included are Sleep tracking, Real-time heart rate tracking, water resistance, dust resistance, and 14 days of battery life.

In a tweet, tipster Ishan Agarwal shared some rumored spec for the upcoming band from OnePlus. As per his claims, the OnePlus band will have 24/7 heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring, sleep tracking, and 13 built-in exercise modes.

It is supposed to come with a 1.1 inch OLED display, IP68 water resistance, and up to 14 days of battery life. The OnePlus Band will cost INR 2,499 ($35) and will launch in India on January 11 according to Agarwal.

In another leak from stufflistings, it shows the render of the OnePlus Band with a rectangular display and rubber strap. The color options are Black, Navy, and Gray. The render also shows off the dual color scheme that is mentioned on its product page on Amazon India.

Likewise, a video from the same tipster says that the OnePlus Band will weigh around 10.3 grams (tracker only) and will have additional sensors like an accelerometer, and gyroscope. For connectivity, it will include Bluetooth 5.0.
OnePlus sells its products around the globe but the tease for the OnePlus Band came from the OnePlus India Twitter account. So, it is likely that the OnePlus Band is focused on the Indian market initially.
With the launch of the fitness band, OnePlus will be taking a step closer towards the launch of a smartwatch. In the launch event of the OnePlus 8T, Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus confirmed that the company also plans to launch a smartwatch early this year.
