The Nepal Association for Software and IT Services Companies (NAS-IT) recently announced its membership in The Asia-Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA), becoming the 17th member economy to join the alliance.

APICTA, an association of ICT communities in the region, collaborates to promote technology innovation. The organization annually organizes awards programs to recognize achievements in ICT innovation within the Asia-Pacific region.
NAS-IT, a non-profit organization formed by companies in Nepal to boost the software and IT industry, expressed excitement about the collaboration.
According to Richan Shrestha, president of NAS-IT, “As a proud member of APICTA, we look forward to being a part of this active community and to using this platform to further the interests of both our country and the broader Asia-Pacific region. This is a crucial step for us in boosting Nepal’s Technological strength.”
The announcement also highlighted the gratitude extended by NAS-IT to its members, partners, and the government for their pivotal support in achieving this milestone. NAS-IT emphasized its commitment to driving technological advancements and expressed anticipation for the opportunities that APICTA membership presents.
The partnership with APICTA is expected to open avenues for NAS-IT, providing access to international networking, knowledge-sharing opportunities, and participation in APICTA ICT awards.
This collaboration aims to enable Nepal’s ICT products to compete globally, fostering innovation, cross-cultural exchanges, and the nation’s technological growth.
Additionally, it is expected to offer various investment and market expansion opportunities for Nepali IT companies.
