Khalti users can now buy QFX movie tickets directly from the Khalti mobile wallet in Nepal. Users can choose their preferred movie, QFX cinema hall, time, and seat all through the Khatli app itself.
Khalti says that using the app, users can book QFX movie tickets in only 50 seconds. Booking movie tickets from Khalti app will also earn users QFX loyalty points and Khalti points. The ticketing feature was live and made available starting August 17, 2022.
QFX Cinema and Khalti Partnership – #MyMovieMantra
This was possible after the exclusive partnership between QFX Cinemas, a cinema chain in Nepal, and Nepali digital wallet Khalti. Prior to this, customers of QFX could only buy movie tickets by logging into the QFX app or website.
“For the first time ever in Nepal, a mobile wallet is offering the possibility to purchase movie tickets at a theatre run by a big brand like QFX, in the seats we want and at a time we choose, ” said Binay Khadka, CEO of Khalti at the press meet on August 31, 2022.
Regarding this service, Binay Khadka, the chief executive officer of Khalti, said,
“One of our goals is to become a lifestyle brand for every Nepali. As a part of this goal, we are thrilled to work with a well-known theatre in the entertainment industry like QFX. We anticipate that our collaboration will become the ultimate movie mantra for both our Khalti users and movie lovers.”
The partnership has made Khalti the preferred payment partner of QFX Cinemas for the next three years. Preferred payment partner entails various marketing collaborations such as ticket purchase through Khalti app, QR placements, branding on QFX website and app, campaign tie-ups, and advertisement placement in on-screen and off-screen branding areas.
The general manager of TeamQuest, Ms. Prashamsa Pandey, commented on the partnership by saying,
“Our focus always is to enhance customer experience; we hope our moviegoers will benefit from this partnership.”
