Nepal Mobility Solutions, a company affiliated with F1Soft Group, a Nepali fintech company, has officially launched JumJum, a new ride-hailing app, in Nepal.
JumJum is a ride-hailing service available on Android and iOS devices, allowing passengers to book rides. Leveraging the expertise of F1Soft Group, JumJum partnered with PickMe, a Sri Lankan taxi-hailing and delivery app, to develop the platform.
Mr. Subash Sharma, CEO of F1Soft Group, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “F1Soft Group has always led digital innovation, continuously building an ecosystem of digital products and services to facilitate Nepal’s digital transformation. The inclusion of JumJum as a ride-sharing service enriches our ecosystem, offering convenient transportation solutions in alignment with our vision of becoming a household brand for every Nepali.”
Mr. Jiffry Zulfer, CEO of PickMe, said, “We are excited to partner with F1Soft International to bring our advanced ride-sharing technology to Nepal. This collaboration reflects our shared vision of leveraging technology to elevate the mobility experiences of the communities we cater to, ultimately enhancing lives. Together, we are confident that JumJum will revolutionize the transportation industry in Nepal.”
Testing Since December 2023
Since December 2023, JumJum has been testing the app in the market and has already completed over 100,000 rides with 40,000 to 45,000 passengers. The platform currently boasts over 2,000 riders.
JumJum also allows payments directly through the eSewa digital wallet. In addition to this, the app offers features such as multiple bookings and the ability to book rides for friends or family members.
To ensure the safety of both passengers and drivers, JumJum has partnered with Neco Insurance to provide coverage of up to Rs. 5 Lakhs against unexpected events.
Direction Hires and Commissions
Moreover, the ride-hailing platform also introduces a feature called Directional Hires, allowing drivers and riders to accept trips in their desired travel direction, facilitating efficient matching with passengers heading the same way.
Furthermore, the company has announced an introductory offer of 75 percent off on the first three rides. Additionally, both drivers and riders receive a Rs. 1,000 joining bonus.
For the initial two weeks, JumJum takes zero percent commission, followed by commission rebate programs and daily bonuses of up to Rs. 2,000.
The commission rate is 20 percent for earnings below Rs. 500, 12 percent for earnings between Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,200, and 7 percent for earnings above Rs. 1,200.
