Insta360 Go 2 Overview
Build and Design
Insta360 Go 2 weighs just 26.4 grams and is the size of a thumb. It comes with a new charging case that also acts as a remote control.
It has a removable lens cover and a matte plastic housing. The case also acts as a tripod, remote, external battery, and charger. The case has a 1/4-inch thread for mounting and a USB-C port for charging.

Go 2’s camera is IPX8 water-resistant up to 13 feet underwater but the case is not waterproof. In the box, Insta360 also includes three camera mounts: a pivot stand, a hat brim clip, and a pendant for wearing around your neck. All of these mounts use a magnet to keep the Go 2 attached to them.
Video and Image Quality
The Go 2 can record video up to 1440p 50fps and up to 1080p 30fps in HDR mode. It also has a slow-motion feature that captures up to 120 fps.
As for photos, it can capture 9MP photos with a resolution of 2560×1440. Rather than the megapixel count, it has a very good 120-degree FOV. It also has 4 presets of FOV options that range from narrow to wide.
The camera also utilizes a built-in 6-axis gyroscope along with Insta360’s FlowState stabilization for horizontal levelling and extremely stable video.
For storage, it only has 32GB of internal memory.
Controls, Battery, & Other Features
There are no visible buttons on the Go 2 as the Insta360 logo located under the lens acts as a button. A single press will start video recording, a double press takes a photo, and a one-second press powers the camera on to a ready state.
You can also connect it to a smartphone via Wi-Fi for previews and settings adjustment.
The standalone camera can last up to 30 minutes on a single charge and up to 150 mins while in the case. The camera itself takes 35 mins to charge and the case takes about 65 mins for a full charge.
