Huawei puts it best, “It delivers an excellent value to the ‘photography enthusiasts’ to reimagine their photography experience.” This is an excerpt from the press release from Huawei regarding the Huawei Y7 Pro. Huawei Y7 Pro 2018 is another smartphone which was released alongside the new phone from Huawei, the Huawei Y9 2018.
The Huawei Y7 Pro was released amidst an event on April 8 in Hotel Himalaya. Mr Joyas Zhu, the country director of Huawei, is optimistic that the phone will be a massive success after the recent success of its mid-tier smartphone the Huawei Nova 2i. The Huawei Y7 Pro 2018 price in Nepal is set Rs. 20,900.
Specification Outline
The Huawei Y7 Pro comes with a 5.99 inch HD IPS panel with a resolution of 1440×720 pixels. This is decently sharp with a pixel density of 268 PPI. This is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 accompanied by Adreno 505 GPU. This might not be the best chipset out there but paired with 3 Gigabytes of RAM gives you a decent performance. You also get an internal storage of 32 Gigabytes that is expandable up to 256 Gigabytes via microSD card.
As far as the camera goes, it has a dual camera setup on the back with a 13 Megapixel primary shooter and a 2 Megapixel secondary camera. On the front, it has an 8 Megapixel camera with Selfie Toning Flash. All of this is powered by a 3000 mAh battery. You get to unlock this device with a facial unlock feature. However, you don’t get a fingerprint scanner in this device.

Impressions
Huawei, well, has been making great smartphones. Huawei Nova 2i is one the very successful smartphones from Huawei. This time with the release of both Y9 and Y7 Pro, Huawei will probably make a stunning new market for these two smartphones. Huawei Y7 Pro, for its price, is not bad. You are getting decent specifications, maybe not the best one but it’s good.
Specs on paper look decent but not that very outrageous. You are getting an SD 430 with 3 Gigs of RAM. This is well beyond enough for daily tasks such as web browsing and going through social media. It is also enough for light gaming but when it comes to hardcore gaming, such as Asphalt 8 and PUBG, it might struggle. You might experience some frame drops and stutters.
In a nutshell, for the price it comes at, this phone has to be called a decent bargain. For a price just above 20 thousand, you are getting arguably some of the best features: a Face Unlock, a FullView Display, and whatnot. For me, this smartphone looks decent. Well, this might be the best smartphone for the price tag?
