Foodmario Represents Nepal at the Regional Seedstars Summit in Bangkok

Foodmario, a startup that promotes and empowers the home chefs won the Seedstars Kathmandu 2018 beating 72 startups.

Foodmario provides an online platform where home entrepreneurs can showcase their healthy, home-cooked food, tweak their recipes by feedback received and grow their market. In the eight-minute long presentation session of Seedstars, Rohit Tiwari, CEO of Foodmario elaborated about the vision of their product, policies, their success stories, and their future vision. The sole concentration of the presentation was to communicate the purpose of the startup, i.e., to empower members of the society by creating job opportunities and also to provide the well-deserved platforms to all the hidden talents.

This one-year-old company has managed to win everyone’s heart in a brief time with their quality services, innovative idea and most important, the thought of empowering the community. As an organization, Foodmario has always believed in supporting women and present their talent in front of the world.

However, being the champions of Seedstars Kathmandu was not a cake walk for Foodmario. It was a well-deserved award of the efforts that team had been putting for months.

Rohit credited this win as the result of the hard work and support of the team members and home cooks.

Rohit shared, “I understand that best of the best startups were there, I m sure all of them had done equal hard work, I think my confidence with my team, with the results we have achieved till date reflected in the pitch, made us win the competition.”

While describing his journey of Seedstars, Rohit said, “The excitement and preparation had started from the day we decided to participate in this prestigious competition. We realized that it was a great opportunity for us to represent Nepal in a global arena. We had made sure that we left no stones unturned to give our best.”

The team is currently representing Nepal at the Regional Seedstars Summit in Bangkok happening from Nov 27 – 30. Later this year, the team will travel to Laussane, Switzerland to participate in the Seedstars World and compete to receive an investment of up to $1 Million.

The team has been preparing rigorously for the Seedstars Global. With the victory in Seedstars Kathmandu, the team now believes that no dream is too big and with compassion, determination, and the right directions, they can reach and do anything.
