DishHome Announces First Nepali Sports Channel

DishHome, on September 20, launched two new channels Ramailo TV and Action Sports channel at an official function held at Hotel Annapurna, Durbarmarg.

The function, titled Ramailo Night, was inaugurated by the Minister of Information and Communications, Mohan Bahadur Basnet.

Ramailo Channel will be broadcasted on channel no. 104 of DishHome and Action Sports on channel no. 105.

A statement by DishHome said that Ramailo Channel will feature Nepali comedy serials, popular Hindi serials dubbed in Nepali, Nepali football, cricket and other national and international sporting events through live coverage wherever possible.

DishHome said that Action Sports was the first and only Nepali Sports channel. It also said that the “channel is totally dedicated towards the upliftment of Nepali sports and will bring different sports and sporting events from every corner of the country to the limelight.”

To watch the new channels, customers need to subscribe to the Plus Package of DishHome. This package, along with the two new channels includes Plus Movie channel, musical channels, cartoon channel and other channels. Customers with Basic, Medium, Deluxe and Super HD package can upgrade to Plus Package with a minimal additional subscription charge.

DishHome also recently launched a Pay per View service called DishHome Cinemaghar. This new launch enables customers to watch new Nepali movies by sending simple SMS or by calling DishHome customer support on the same day of its release. DishHome successfully released Dhoom-2 and Leela through Pay per View.

DishHome promises to continue adding new channels to cater to the requirements of different target sectors. And in the future, it aims to have an array of 15 to 20 channels of its own.
