What’s the Difference between CX 250R and CX 250S?

Yet again, we come back to the age-old question, “which one should I buy?” We’ll get to that, but let’s check the major difference between the two CX siblings.

Mechanically, both share the same engine with the same powertrain. You’ll get the same performance regardless of the model you choose. So, what’s the catch here? Why two different names for a bike with the same engines?

Okay, you get a different build. In CX 250R, you have an aluminum-dipped frame. This gives you a better road handling and easier maneuvering. Another major difference includes a double silencer, which gives it another sell-factor. Honestly, you had to be there to listen to the exhaust sound. It was simply awesome.

In CX 250S, you get the same bike with a different sell-factor. According to Cross X, 250S is highly customizable, anything and everything you think can be customized in a certain way. But that’s not all the difference. You get a Tubler Steel frame which is slightly different than the aluminum-dipped. Additionally, you don’t get that awesome double silencer with 250S as you did with the 250R.

Which One Should I Buy?

Well, you know the difference between the CX 250R and CX 250S. Since, both are more-or-less the same excluding the style and frame, choosing between the two won’t be all that difficult. Based on the difference you’ve read above, feel free to choose your own style. Moreover, you could simply visit the nearest showroom, and test them both for yourself.
