Classic Tech Brings Up to 1000Mbps Internet Speed and Wi-Fi 6 Mesh System

Classic Tech, an internet service provider in Nepal, has launched different internet plans under its Tachyon Package ranging up to 1Gbps (1000Mbps) speed.

The ISP is offering four plans in Tachyon Package. The four plans include 150Mbps (Bronze Tachyon TV+), 225Mbps (Silver Tachyon 2TV+), 325Mbps (Gold Tachyon 2TV+), 625Mbps (Diamond Tachyon 3TV+), and 1000Mbps (Platinum Tachyon 3TV+).

With this, Classic Tech is also providing a mesh W-Fi system, which is optional for up to 325Mbps plans but is compulsory for 625Mbps and 1000Mbps plans.

Furthermore, the Platinum Tachyon 3TV+ (1000Mbps) plan comes with Wi-Fi 6 standard, which is currently unavailable in other plans.

Classic Tech Tachyon: Internet Plans & Pricing

The Tachyon 150Mbps plan costs Rs. 20,018.44 (incl. VAT) for a new installation of a 12-month subscription with one IPTV.

Likewise, the Tachyon 225Mbps and 325Mbps cost Rs. 22,730.44 (incl. VAT) and Rs. 26,120.44 (incl. VAT), respectively, for a new installation of a 12-month subscription with one IPTV. Additional IPTV costs Rs. 2,000 for activation and Rs. 500 as a refundable deposit per set-top box.

The Tachyon 625Mbps and 1000Mbps require a mesh Wi-Fi system and are only available on a 12-month subscription basis. Excluding mesh routers, a new installation of a 625Mbps plan costs Rs. 33,886.44 (incl. VAT), and a 1000Mbps plan costs Rs. 55,726.44 (incl. VAT).

In addition, for a mesh Wi-Fi system, per mesh router, the user must pay Rs. 8000 rental charge, Rs. 2,000 security deposit, and Rs. 3,000 for smart installation.

IPTV Activation Charge

The primary set-top box cost varies based on the subscription period. You can get a primary STB for Rs. 2,000 if you subscribe to a 12-month plan. However, if you are planning to subscribe to a 625Mbps or 1000Mbps plan, Classic Tech provides free activation for the primary STB.

The cost of an additional STB, on the other hand, costs Rs. 2,000 for activation and Rs. 500 as a deposit, which is the same for all the plans and subscription periods.

Mesh Wi-Fi

The mesh Wi-Fi system is optional for 150Mbps, 225Mbps, and 325Mbps plans, but is compulsory for 625Mbps and 1000Mbps.

Classic Tech has not disclosed what model of mesh routers they will be providing. The company is referring to the optional mesh routers in the 150Mbps, 225Mbps, and 325Mbps plans as mesh 1.0, and in the 625Mbps and 1000Mbps plans as mesh 2.0.

In addition, the ISP mentions that the aforementioned schemes are for a limited period only.
