Hello guys. How are you all? You realize that we talk about smartphones all over the year here at TechLekh. And, with the end of 2018 in sight, it feels like the right time to show some appreciation for the good ones.

Even though we commend the products that give the best deals to our customers in our articles, we feel like we should show a grander gesture to the manufacturers who understand our customers.

With that thought in mind, we are thinking of giving away awards to smartphones in 3 categories: Best Flagship Smartphone, Best Midrange Smartphone, and Best Budget Smartphone. And, we also want you to participate in helping us choose these phones. We will be giving away an Editor’s Choice Award, and a People’s Choice award in each category. Thus, we need your help to decide the winner for the People’s Choice Award.

This is the poll for the best budget phone of the year. We have considered phones under Rs. 30,000 for our picks. Budget phones aren’t what they used to be in 2018. They have become so good that it is difficult to justify suggesting an average person buy anything with a more premium price tag.  We have seen some amazing smartphones in this category in 2018 from the likes of Xiaomi, Samsung, CG, Oppo, and other companies. We have listed the smartphones that we consider best represents the efforts of these manufacturers in the budget category in the poll below.
