Design
VivoBook S15 S553 chassis is made out of aluminum alloy. It is reasonably portable as it measures at 1.8 kgs and is only 1.59mm thick. It even features a yellow Enter key to make it look stylish. The edges are made of anodized diamond-cut chamfered edges and on top, it features the new Vivobook logo.
The bezels are also quite narrow on the VivoBook S15 as the thin-bezel nano edge display provides an immersive viewing experience and enables a more compact footprint.
For the ports, it includes 2X USB 2.0 port, 1X USB 3 port, USB-C port, microSD card reader, and an HDMI port. There’s no Thunderbolt 3 port on this laptop.

Hardware
ASUS VivoBook S15 features 10th Gen Intel Core processors that are perfect for multitasking and high-definition entertainment, with Intel integrated graphics. Storage comprises of 512GB PCIe® SSD and 8GB RAM.
The Intel-powered WiFi 6 (802.11ax) delivers superfast networking speeds that are up to 3X faster than WiFi 5 (802.11ac), with 4X the network capacity and 75%-lower latency to reduce large 4K UHD video-transfer times by up to 70%.
It is available in two processor variants: i7-10510U and i5-10210U. Both of the processors feature Nvidia GeForce MX250 GPU with 2GB VRAM. These are quad-core processors based on Intel’s 14nm++ process and come with Hyper-Threading technology. The i7 is clocked at 1.8GHz and goes up to 4.9GHz whereas the i5 is clocked at 1.6GHz and goes up to 4.2GHz.
As for speakers, it comes with the ASUS SonicMaster stereo audio system with surround sound certified by Harman Kardon.
Battery
It has a 50Wh 3-cell Li-Po battery which can provide up to 11-12 hours of battery life. It also comes with a 45W power adapter that features fast charging.
