Asus Laptops Price in Nepal

Asus is one of the largest laptops brands in the world. It ranks 5th in the world market share for laptops just behind Apple. AsusTek Computer Inc. is a Taiwanese company who also make motherboards, coolers, mobile phones etc. It is ranked as one of Asia’s top 10 IT companies by Businessweek.

Asus makes great stylish notebooks that are built very well. They don’t have bulky designs, unlike some other brands. And they are generally not so expensive. The premium laptops from Asus that are best designed and built fall in the Zenbook line. Other less pricey but still well-built laptops fall on the Vivobook Category. And it’s gaming lineup is called ROG(Republic of Gamers).

Nagmani International is the sole authorized distributor of Asus laptops in Nepal and they have a wide selection of laptops available for you to buy. We have created a list of all the available Asus laptops price in Nepal with their specs for your convenience. Check it out.

Asus X441NA

The Asus X441NA is the most basic laptop you can buy from Asus in Nepal. Fitted with a Pentium processor, this thing would crawl through most of the task you throw at it whether that is opening a word document or browsing the web through Chrome. The main reason for the sluggishness is the HDD which is just not as fast as an SSD. But I didn’t expect them to offer an SSD at this price.

So who is this laptop for? I don’t know. A laptop is not a must-have accessory for consumers and people who need one want to get some work done. And if you don’t want the majority of your laptop experience to be filled with frustration, I suggest you look elsewhere.

Asus E203NAH

The Asus E203NAH has similar performance to the X441NA but it is thinner, lighter, and smaller which makes the sluggishness a little more forgivable. While the X441NA hopes to be your one and only work computer, the E203NAH gives you a small package that you can toss around and use as a secondary device when you are not around your main computer.

But whatever it’s motives, a lack of an SSD should be a deal breaker for many as the laptop would be slow to boot and the frustrations with the X441NA remain. If you want a small laptop you should look at Lenovo Ideapad 110s.

Asus Vivobook FLIP- TP203NA

If you couldn’t get an idea from the name the Vivobook FLIP can bend all the ways up to 360 degrees. And that’s about the only thing that differentiates the Vivobook Flip from E203NAH. They differ on looks. And the E203NAH lasts long but the performance on both these laptops is the same. You get the added flexibility of a convertible on the Vivobook FLIP but it’s up to you if you want to spend an Rs. 14000 premium for a similar experience.

Asus X441UA

Asus X441UA has a 6th gen core i3 processor and that takes its price to Rs. 55,000, up from Rs.  40,625 of the Asus X441NA. That is expected as the i3 has a far better performance than the Pentium processor. Other specs remain the same. The speed of the hard drive and the RAM capacity are the same.

If you want the least expensive laptop possible for your money which will have the oomph to handle most of your tasks, we suggest you go with the X441UA. You still won’t get a lag-free and frustration-less performance though. You’ll have to spend a bit more on that.

The ASUS X541UA is an exact copy of the X441UA with a larger screen and a little bit of added weight. They even have the same speification. You just have to decide between the screen size you prefer.

Pros Cons
Cheap Just 4GB RAM

Asus Vivobook X442UA

Asus Vivobook X442UA is an incremental update to the X441UA. I say incremental because the only thing that’s changed is the processor which is now a core i3 7th gen Intel processor and the laptop has gained some weight. Apart from that, there’s an obvious increase in price which is now Rs. 61,250. As the price increment is just Rs. 5000, we feel it’s worth it to spend a little more on the 7th gen processor to make your laptop more future proof. You will also get a better performance.

Asus Vivobook X510UA

Asus Vivobook X510UA is a poor value laptop. 4GB RAM in a laptop that costs Rs. 70,000 is not acceptable. Acer E-15 gives you 8th gen intel core i5, 8GB RAM, 1TB storage and a dedicated MX130 NVIDIA graphics for the same exact price and we think that laptop would suit you far better than this overpriced piece of metal.

Asus Vivobook X442UA

I have already expressed my concerns for a laptop that has 4GB RAM at the price upwards of Rs. 70,000. And if you read the entry for Vivobook X510UA, you will see that the Acer E-15 has better specs than the vivobook X510UA and the Vivobook X442UA by far. The Vivobook X442UA doesn’t even have a FullHD screen. It has the 8th gen Intel Core i5 though but so does the Acer E-15.  So, go check that out.

Asus Vivobook S410UA

The Vivobook S410UA is thinner and lighter than the X442UA. It has a 14.0 inch Full HD display. But we wish the internals could match the exterior of the S410UA. What you get inside the Vivobook S410UA is the same combination of 4GB RAM and a 1TB hard drive. Does Asus think that a well-designed machine is enough to fool people into buying a mediocre laptop? Probably. But you should not fall into this trap. Go buy an Acer E-15 for a better experience and value for your money.

Asus Vivobook S510UA

The difference between the Vivobook S510UA and the S410UA is only present in the screen size. The Vivobook S510 UA has a 15.6 inch screen while the S410UA has a 14 inch screen. With an increase in screen size comes an increase in the weight of the laptop. The S510UA weighs 1.7kg but it still is not a great value and you should definitely go pick the Acer E-15 over the S510UA.

Asus Vivobook 15 X542UA

I am tired of seeing laptops with 4GB RAM. At Rs. 80,000, you start to expect a dedicated NVIDIA graphics card but what you are getting here is the same tired configuration of 4GB RAM and 1TB Traditional Hard Drive that Acer is carrying from laptops that cost Rs. 55000. The processor is an 8th gen Intel Core i5 though and the screen is now finally Full HD but still Acer E-15 beats this laptop in terms of specs and performance. So, I see no reason for you to go after this laptop.

Asus P2440UA

What do you say to a laptop that has a 4GB RAM , an HD screen, a 500GB traditional Hard Drive, a 7th gen Intel Core processor when the latest is the 8th gen, and asks you to shell out Rs. 82,500 for what it offers. I know what I will say. “No, Thank You!” is the polite version. Most of the users and buyers would benefit looking elsewhere than this money grabbing “business grade” laptop. Not only is it pricey and under-powered, it is heavy and bulky too.

Seriously overpriced

Asus X542UN

The only reason I am spending more words on the X542UN is because it has a 4GB of dedicated NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card. When combined with the new 8th gen Intel Core i5 processor, you can get a serious gaming performance out of this laptop. But the 4GB RAM is seriously underwhelming. Why would anyone add a dedicated discrete graphics card to a laptop with just 4GB RAM? We will never find out. And you get a similar (better setup) with the Acer E-15 for just 72000. Just buy the Acer and save your precious Rs. 35000!

Asus Vivobook S510UN

Finally, Asus decided to grace its laptop with an 8GB RAM. The price? Rs. 111,250. This laptop has nearly the same configuration as the Acer E-15 we talked about earlier. They both have a FHD screen, the same NVIDIA MX150 Graphics, 8GB RAM,  and 1TB HDD (though this laptop and Acer should have an SSD at the price). They are like brothers from different mothers. But one is valued at Rs. 111,250 while the other one at Rs. 72000. You decide which one you’d want to buy.

Asus FLIP – TP410UA

A laptop at this price should have a graphics card and an SSD. Or at least one of them. But the FLIP – TP410UA has none and it still costs upwards of 1 lakhs. But the FLIP – TP410UA is asking this price for its convertible form factor. If that is something improtant to you then the FLIP-TP410UA might be something you’d want to consider buying but if you aren’t sold into the whole tent and tablet modes then you should look elsewhere for a better value. Specswise it is good enough for normal web browsing and all, but content creators and gamers should look elsewhere, possibly at the Acer Helios 300.

Asus Zenbook UX410UA

How is the Zenbook UX410UA different from the FLIP? Well, it is a Zenbook. The name Zenbook is given to Asus’ top of the line ultrabook series. So, you get a better build quality, thinner chassis, lighter laptop with smaller overall footprint. They have great design too. The performance is good enough for web browsing and YouTube and Word documents on this laptop. That’s what this laptop is designed for. We wished it came with an SSD which would have made the laptop far quicker.

 Asus Vivobook S410UN

Finally a laptop worthy of being talked about. The Vivobook S410UN has all the specs need to justify its price tag except an SSD. You get an 8th Gen Intel Core 8250U processor coupled with a 4GB NVIDIA MX150 graphics which is geared towards content creators more than gamers. But it can handle some light gaming too.

An HDD is by no means what people should get at this price. Distributors should focus on installing SSD on their machines instead of a 1TB HDD. Though this laptop is nowhere near as speedy as a laptop with an SSD, it is fast and powerful enough for most people. It is stylish and comparatively lightweight machine but its value pales when compared to the Acer E 15 that comes at about Rs 72000 with similar specs.

Asus Vivobook 15 X542UN

What do you gain for adding approx 10K over the Vivobook S410UN in the Vivobook 15 X542UN. The answer is: an Intel Core i7 processor, instead of the i5 one and a little bit of added weight. 1 kg to be exact. So is the performance bump worth the added weight and price? Nope. The GPU is the same and the speed of the laptop would be nearly the same. I wouldn’t pay more for a bulky laptop which is difficult to carry around when you could easily be showing off a sleek but powerful S410UN.

Asus Vivobook S510UN is both sleek and powerful. While its inviting aesthetics and brushed metal finish may make you feel think it is underpowered but under the hood, you get an Intel Core i7 processor coupled with 2GB of NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card. So you have plenty of power for editing photos and videos on the go but not so much for gaming. You also get an SSD here which will make the laptop way more snappy than it would normally have been with only a traditional hard drive available.

Asus ROG-FX553VD

Asus’s pricing is a serious contender for late night comedy shows. The Vivobook S510UN was priced more than the ROG but clearly, Asus ROG-FX553VD is the more powerful one among them. It has a 7th Gen Intel core i5 HQ processor (which is more powerful than the U-series processors) and a GeForce GTX 1050 inside (which is more powerful than the MX150). The SSD and the HDD combination is a welcomed touch. Large traditional hard drive for installing large games, faster smaller SSD for faster bootup and program load times. However, as with most gaming laptops, this thing has a poor battery life, but you will be hooked to the charger all the time anyway if you are gaming.

Asus finally makes a sensible pricing on its device for once and if you like ROG series of gaming laptops this is worthy of your money. However, you should also take a look at the Acer Predator Helios 300 for it has a more powerful GPU for a little more price.

Asus Zenbook FLIP UX461UA

Asus adds a little more versatility to the design of the Zenbook UX430UN to create the Asus Zenbook UX461UA. It is a laptop that folds 360 degrees into a tablet. More importantly, it supports an active stylus. So, if you have an active pen and want to write something, you can. The power of the Zenbook Flip is similar to the UX430UN as the internals are similar. And that is a good thing because the Zenbook UX430UN was plenty powerful already. You can edit photos and 1080p videos on this laptop pretty comfortably.

I wish the SSD would have been a bit bigger, but the fact that it has one is enough to speed the laptop by a significant margin.

Have your say

This was our list of all the Asus laptops price in Nepal. You can see that some of these laptops are worth your money while some seem a little overpriced.

My favorite among the laptops on the list is the Asus Zenbook UX430UA which though a bit pricey is very portable and powerful enough for most of the tasks that I do which mostly includes browsing the internet. Laptops below the Rs 1 lakh mark from Asus on this list aren’t worth your money.

How do you feel about laptops from Asus? Have you had any problems with them in the past? What do you think about their price tags? Do you think you’d be happy buying a laptop without an SSD? Please don’t forget to share your thoughts in the comments section below.
