Asian School of Management and Technology located in Gongabu, Kathmandu is organizing an Inter College Hackathon-2018 where several engineering and IT colleges are participating. The event is currently underway, Oct 5th and Oct 6th, 2018.
The hackathon is a two-day long codefest where students from different colleges will collaborate with each other on software projects focused on any one of the following themes:
- Internet of Things (IoT)
- AI for a better life
- Agriculture with IT
- Cyber Security
- Commercial project
Registration period for the event was already closed in 1st October 2018. Orientation for the participating students took place a few days ago at the Asian School of Management and Technology.
Of course, no event can be complete without awards for winners. So, in this hackathon, the winner will receive a cash prize of Rs. 30,000 along with a trophy, medals, and certificates.
The 1st runner-up will get Rs. 20,000 along with medals and certificate. The 2nd runner-up will get Rs. 10,000 along with medals and certificates. The team with the best presentation will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 5000, medals and certificates. The team with the best idea will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 5000, medals and certificates.
Finally, the team with the idea best applicable in the current situation will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 5000, medals and certificates.
