IME Motors, the sole distributor of Ashok Leyland vehicles in Nepal, has launched a new range of trucks for Nepal. In the launching ceremony at Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu, Chandra Prasad Dhakal, the executive chairman of IME group along with the president of Ashok Leyland, unveiled the most awaited ‘Captain’ rage of trucks in Nepal.

Having a unique selling point of higher fuel efficiency, faster turnaround, and reduced vehicle operating cost, the Ashok Leyland’s Captain series is focused on driver comfort, reliability and performance of the commercial vehicle. The Captain series is available in 16-49 tones variants including trippers, tractors and haulage vehicles.
“The vehicle has an electric and electronic architecture with self-diagnostic capability. This will address the growing demand for higher efficiency trucks in Nepal. Good ergonomics and driver comfort are among the Captain’s highlights which include easy-to-reach controls, a mechanically suspended driver seat with multi-level adjustments, tiltable and telescopic steering column, air-conditioning and a music system,” reads the statement.
CEO of IME Motors, Kapil Shiwakoti stated that “Ashok Leyland trucks have always captured a market position as a trustworthy brand. The new Captain has continued with this legacy and we are sure that it will live up to the expectation of the customers.”
