Plans for the construction of a cable car way is underway, which will run from Birethanti of Kaski to Mustang. It is being constructed as a public-private partnership between the Investment Board and Muktinath Cable Car Darshan Private. Both parties signed a MoU earlier this week on 12th September.
The MoU was signed by Chief Executive Officer at the Board, Maha Prasad Adhikari and Company Chairman, Arun Kumar Subedi. According to the MoU, a detailed project report needs to be submitted within the 18 months of signing the MoU. The estimated cost of the project is around Rs 35 billion.
The cable car way will have six stations including Birethanti, Ghorepani, Tatopani, Lete, Marpha, Kagbeni, and Muktinath and will be of length 83.56 KM. After its competition, it will be the longest cable car link of Nepal.
