Apple iPad 2025 Arrives in Nepal with A16 Bionic

Apple launched the iPad 11th Generation in March 2025, along with the iPad Air 2025. Now, the tablet is available for purchase in Nepal as well.

The Apple iPad 2025 price in Nepal is Rs. 65,000 (128GB), Rs. 85,000 (256GB), and Rs. 1,22,000 (512GB).

The new iPad 11th Gen gets a massive Rs. 14,000 price cut compared to the iPad 10th Gen, along with higher storage.

The changes on the iPad 11th Gen this year are nominal, but the price cut is something you cannot ignore. This makes it an even more tempting entry-level option.

Apple iPad 2025 Overview

Design

Design-wise, the new iPad 11th Gen (2025) is basically an exact copy of the iPad 10th Gen (2022), except for the missing “iPad” branding on the back, giving it a cleaner look.

Besides that, the iPad 11th Gen weighs the same — 477g for the Wi-Fi variant and 481g for the Wi-Fi + Cellular variant. Unfortunately, Nepal is only getting the Wi-Fi model.

Around the iPad, you get the power button, which also doubles as a Touch ID sensor, and the volume rocker on the right side. The top and bottom house a dual-speaker setup, while the left side features a Smart Connector for the Magic Keyboard Folio.

The Keyboard Folio includes a kickstand and a trackpad, but it will cost you an extra Rs. 45,000.

Additionally, the iPad 11th Gen supports the Apple Pencil USB-C (priced at Rs. 17,500) and the Apple Pencil 1st Generation (priced at Rs. 19,500).

Display

The display on the iPad 11th Gen is listed as 11 inches, while it was 10.9 inches on the 10th Gen. It seems like Apple is simply rounding up the number this time.

You still get the same Liquid Retina display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2360 x 1640 at 264 ppi. In my opinion, Apple could have made some improvements in this area, especially considering that competition like the Xiaomi Pad 7 offers a smoother 144Hz refresh rate and a higher 3.5K resolution.

Brightness also remains the same, with a typical 500 nits, which is fine for indoor use but might feel lacking outdoors or in brightly lit areas.

Hardware

This time, the iPad 2025 gets a major upgrade with the A16 Bionic chip — the same chip found on the iPhone 14 Pro, 14 Pro Max, 15, and 15 Plus.

Compared to the A14 Bionic chip used in the iPad 10th Gen, the A16 delivers around 31% better performance in AnTuTu Benchmark scores.

Unfortunately, it’s a slightly binned version of the A16 chip. The one featured in the iPad 11th Gen comes with a 5-core CPU, while the others have a 6-core CPU. Similarly, the Apple GPU on the new iPad has a 4-core setup instead of the usual 5-core.

On the bright side, storage finally gets an upgrade, with the base version starting at 128GB instead of the usual 64GB we saw in the previous gen. This is a big win, especially considering how much Apple usually charges for storage upgrades.

Besides that, there are also 256GB and 512GB variants if you want more storage.

Camera

The camera department remains unchanged, featuring a 12MP rear camera and a 12MP ultrawide front-facing camera.

Just like the last generation, the front-facing camera is positioned along the landscape edge, similar to the iPad Air. The 12MP rear camera also delivers high-resolution photos and detailed 4K videos, with support for 240-fps slo-mo.

Battery and OS

The iPad 11th Gen sports a 28.93Wh battery, which is a slight upgrade from the last generation. It is rated to provide up to 10 hours of battery life when watching videos or browsing the web.

Lastly, the iPad 2025 runs on iPadOS 18. Although it comes with the latest iOS version, it does not feature Apple Intelligence. Since the A16 Bionic chip doesn’t support Apple Intelligence, you won’t get access to any of the new AI features.

The Apple iPad 2025 price in Nepal is Rs. 65,000 for 128GB, Rs. 85,000 for 256GB, and Rs. 1,22,000 for the 512GB variant. Unfortunately, we are not getting a cellular version of the iPad 2025.

The improvements on the iPad 11th generation aren’t much of a talking point, with the only major upgrade being the A16 Bionic chip — and even that is a binned version with a 5-core CPU instead of the usual 6.

The storage upgrade at a lower price is nice. However, it would have been great to see the addition of an A17 Pro or even an M-series chip on the base model, even if it came with a slight price hike — especially since the iPad Mini 2025 received such an upgrade. But that’s just my opinion.
