Purushottam Khanal, the Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) chairman, submitted his official letter of resignation on Tuesday morning to the Minister of Communication and Information Technology.
The chairman was facing public critique for multiple controversies surrounding the NTA under his chairmanship.
Khanal was involved in the conflicts regarding the MDMS system as well as the TERAMOCS technology.
Furthermore, his name also surfaced in controversies regarding the sale of Radio Nepal’s land, the sale of Ncell’s share, and the tax disputes with internet service providers.
