Robotics Association of Nepal (RAN) is a national-level non-profit association. It is popularly known for providing a platform in the field of robotics to students and enthusiasts all over Nepal. The association follows a practical approach to expose the people to the latest advancements in robotics technology by engaging them in various activities.
Lately, it has been conducting workshops, seminars, training, and even different competitions. Also, it has been involved in research and development in the areas like power management systems, embedded systems, automation, robotics, and so on, which has been helping the students one way or the other.
So, yet again, Robotics Association of Nepal on behalf of U.S Embassy has announced a 5-day technical workshop series under Girls in Tech program called “Women Technopreneur.” The program starts from Feb. 15 and runs until Feb. 17, 2017 at iHUB, Kathmandu. The program will be conducted in major cities of Nepal namely Kathmandu, Biratnagar, Bhairahawa, Dhangadi, Illam, Pokhara, and Surkhet.
Robotics Association of Nepal has an all-women team named “Miss-Tech” which was initiated for encouraging women in the technical field with a vision of accelerating their leadership. It has been pushing women to share knowledge and make a difference in the field of technology. Miss-Tech has also been organizing workshops and code camps to help students learn faster about coding.
“Women Technopreneur, Women’s Empowerment through Technology”, a Girls in Tech program is initiated by Miss-Tech 2017. The main aim of the workshop is to bring leadership and self-confidence in each participant and help them scale-up their technological insight. The participants will be taught about hardware interfacing, programming, game development, social networking, and entrepreneurship which will help them to acquire enough knowledge to stand out from everyone else.
