Nepal Telecom has brought a new customer care center system into operation. The new system was officially launched in a program held on 13th October in Kathmandu by the State Minister of Information and Communication. This new system will now provide all in one solution to all the complains and information related to NTC.
The services provided by this system can be used with the helpline numbers. With relevance to the network service, one need to dial to the following numbers to benefit from the new system.
- 197: NTC Information querying system number.
- 198: NTC Wireline (PSTN/landline) service customer care number
- 1498: NTC Wireless (GSM/CDMA) service customer care number.
The calls made to these numbers is free of cost. With the new integrated customer care system, we can expect NTC to be well prepared to address the users queries, complains and needs.
NTC already has some helpline numbers and customer care units in operation that are providing similar services. But now all of those similar systems will be integrated with this new one.
The telecommunication company has kick started this new system with only telephone calls. However, it is planning to provide users with the benefit to inquiry about their problems via SMS, email and live/web chat services. NTC also intends to bring social media interaction in order to solve the customers problem, queries and complains.
During the inauguration event, State Minister Tapta Bhahadur Bista expressed that he believes the new system will be beneficial to the users for getting their problems solved and query answered more effectively and efficiently. He also mentioned that with this new technology and its advancement, NTC shall satisfy needs its users and gradually increase its revenue.
