The Nepal Police Data Center was recently inaugurated by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sarbendra Khanal, in a program held for that purpose. On the occasion, he also conducted a thorough inspection of the center.
In the inaugural program, the IGP also released a software that dealt with various issues in the department like case files, gender crimes, unidentified dead body-related information, wanted and most wanted people among others.
The IGP said that since this data center would help the Nepal Police to make their investigation system more efficient, it would also increase their responsibility.
During the program, both Head of Central Bureau of Investigation Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) Dhiru Basnyat and Superintendent of Police and head of forensic lab Rabin Basnyat highlighted the importance of the data center.
