
Sajha Yatayat has finalized preparations to commence a new technology-supported payment and ticketing service in its public buses.
Why it matters:
- Sajha Yatayat currently has 46 operating buses; 44 in Kathmandu valley and 2 outside the valley.
- This service will be beneficial to all the passengers. This step taken by Sajha Yatayat could also influence other bus operators to implement e-ticketing system.

- According to acting CEO of the Sajha Yatayat Mahendra Pandey, Sajha is launching the e-ticketing service with the coordination of Nepal Rastra Bank.
- The passengers may use the card like an ATM card to pay transport fare.
- The e-ticketing service, which is for all buses run by Sajha Yatayat to and from different parts, will start soon.
