Mr. Saraubh Jyoti, Director of Jyoti Group of Companies and, Chairman of Syakar Trading Company (Honda Nepal) which is the authorized distributor and retailer of Honda products in Nepal and a huge Motorcycle/Auto Enthusiast, has recently been publicly announcing the addition of a new member in the Honda Big Bikes family. And the new member is none other than the big brother of Honda CRF 250L and 250L Rally i.e., the CRF 1000L or popularly known as ‘The Africa Twin’.
About two weeks earlier, Mr. Jyoti had shared about the arrival of the ‘Africa Twin’ through a post on Instagram. And recently, in an interview with Helmets Nepal, he stated that the ‘Africa Twin’ might arrive somewhere around August. In the interview, he also stated that they will be going for a Lhasa Tour on the ‘Africa Twin’. The tour will last about 13 days starting from the Everest Base Camp (China Side) to Lhasa and back, he added.
Finally, after two weeks, Mr. Saurabh Jyoti revealed the first ‘Africa Twin’ entering Nepal through an Instagram post. The price of Honda Africa Twin in Nepal is Rs. 2,550,000. And it is exclusively available at Honda Showroom, Kantipath and Wing World Showroom, Budhabari, Teku.

About Honda Africa Twin
Honda Africa Twin is a liter-class adventure tourer by the Japanese manufacturer. It is driven by a 998cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke 8-valve parallel-twin engine which outputs a max power of 93.87bhp @7,500rpm(70 kW) and max torque of 98Nm @6,000rpm with a top speed of 190kmph.The ‘Africa Twin’ has two variants based on the type of gearbox. One variant has a constant mesh 6-speed Manual Transmission (MT) with slipper clutch whereas the other has a constant mesh 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) with on and off-road riding modes.As for electronics, it has 2-channel rear switchable ABS, Honda Selectable Torque Control System (HSTC) and *Lever-Lock Type Parking Brake System (available only in DCT variant). It also has dual LED headlights (1 High/1 Low) and LED tail lights. The instrument cluster is a rally style negative LCD display. It includes speedometer, tachometer, fuel indicator, gear position indicator, *ABS, *HSTC, odometer, trip meter and clock.
The fuel tank capacity is 18.8 ltrs and fuel economy is 21.8 kmpl (DCT), 21.7 kmpl (MT w/ABS). The DCT variant is 10 kg heavier (242 kg) than the MT w/ABS variant weighing 232 kg.
