soundcore is a sub-brand of the Chinese electronics manufacturer Anker. As the name suggests, soundcore focuses on audio devices such as Bluetooth speakers, earbuds, and headphones.

Soundcore P20i Overview

Design

The soundcore P20i comes with stems and in-ear fitting. The stems flaunt the company logo and also house the touch sensors. Additionally, they are IPX5-rated, which means they can handle some level of water exposure. A little rain, workout sweats, etc. are no biggie to these earbuds.

Moving on, the soundcore P20i sit inside a cubical charging case with an upward folding lid. Unlike the earbuds, the case does not seem to have water protection. Other than that, it has a lanyard opening for versatile and secure storage.

Five colours of the soundcore P20i are available in the international market — Black, Blue, Light Blue, Pink, and White. However, not all options might make it into our country. We will have to wait and see which colour arrives here when the product launches.

These earbuds have a 10mm audio driver on each side, which the company claims offers powerful bass. While the soundcore P20i sadly does not have a noise-cancelling feature, you do get AI-enhanced calls that utilise the two-mic setup for a clear calling experience.

The soundcore P20i has a plethora of features hidden inside the soundcore app. Users can get this app through Google Play as well as the App Store depending on the platform they are using.

Firstly, users can access 22 preset and customisable EQ options through the app. Similarly, it allows users to tap into the Gaming Mode, configure touch controls, and trigger the Find Device feature as well.

The Soundcore P20i works in a Single Earbud Mode as well.

Battery and Connectivity

These earbuds pack a 60mAh battery while the charging case has a larger 430mAh unit. Independently, the soundcore P20i offers 10 hours of playback. Meanwhile, the playtime jumps by three times when you take the charging case into the equation.

These earbuds support fast charging as well, where a mere 10 minutes of charge equates to two hours of playback. On the other hand, fully charging the soundcore P20i takes up to 120 minutes.

Regarding connectivity, the upcoming soundcore offering relies on Bluetooth v5.3 to pair with your smartphone and automatically connects to the latest device.
