According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nrb.org.np\/contents\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Nepal-Rastra-Bank-Act-2002-English2074.12.21.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 2058<\/a>, offenders can face up to three years in prison or a fine of up to three times the value of the property, or both.<\/p>\n<p>In February 2022, the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police also <a href=\"https:\/\/techlekh.com\/cib-warns-cryptocurrency-hyper-fund-digital-networking-nepal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">issued a press release<\/a>, warning against engaging in such illegal activities.
