Oppo’s phone, if you’ve noticed are mostly all centered around their camera and appearance. They’ve basically chosen camera capabilities and looks over performance in most of their smartphones. The Reno 2 Series, launched a little while back somehow contradicted with that argument though. Surprisingly, they were well balanced all in the basic attributes.

Now, Oppo has launched a new successor to that Reno series; dubbed under the name Oppo Reno 3 Pro. The Oppo Reno 3 Pro was just recently revealed in India and unsurprisingly, the Reno 3 has just landed in Nepal as well. The Reno 3 was announced just yesterday alongside Oppo’s yet another mid-range beauty queen, the Oppo F15. The Reno 3 has a marked price of Rs 46,990 on its head.

So, with the price announced, is the Reno 3 Pro worth salvaging?

Oppo Reno 3 Pro Overview: The Multi-Camera Madness!

The Reno 3 Pro is nothing fancy when it comes to external framework. The phone is founded upon a polycarbonate construct that gives off a cheap impression from the start. The gradient imprinted on the rear is surely creative but it just can’t fulfill the void left by the lack of a glass finish. The silver lining to this carbonated finish is that the phone is just a tad bit lighter.

The phone houses a Super AMOLED Display with a resolution topping out at 1080p spread across a 6.4” canvas. The phone manages to retain a fair 87.4% screen-to-body ratio; despite having a pill shaped notch up the left corner. The regular Reno 3 Pro comes in with a 60Hz refresh rate but there’s a 5G variant that scales it up to 90Hz; but that’s pretty much useless.

Underneath the polycarbonate structure, is a brand new Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P95 processor; that bumps up the connectivity, GPU and AI in the Helio lineup. The processor is then paired alongside 8GB RAM and 128/256GB internals; which frankly, still doesn’t hold firmly in the performance scenario. Meaning that basically the processor is wildly incompetent for its standards.
