Huawei suffered a lot of blows to the head in 2019 and even then, it managed to stay intact and thrive. Hell, even with the restrictions they managed to generate sizable revenue. Now, they won’t just be able to excel with their previous momentum. The Mate 30 series showed how difficult it would be for Huawei to move on further.

But they may have found a small opening with which they can work. Recently, Huawei launched the Y6s with minimal specifications in the mid-range department that showed some promise for the company. So, building upon that front, Huawei has just launched Huawei Y7p. The Huawei Y7P price in Nepal is set Rs. 23,990.

This is another addition to Huawei’s budget-friendly Y series and it is one of many phones under the Huawei Y7 moniker.

Huawei Y7p is made up mostly of plastic but the gradient finish on the rear gives off metal like feeling – giving it a premium feel. For a budget phone, the bezels on the device are surprisingly thin. Huawei has adapted a hole-punch display up front that goes pretty well with the thin edges. The placement of the buttons and rear fingerprint scanner is quite decent as well.

The Y7p rocks a 6.39” IPS LCD Panel which maintains a screen to body ratio of ~82.4%. The resolution however, tops out at 720p and the pixel density is around 270ppi. For audio, the phone features a downward firing mono speaker and on a side note, it features the same old boring MicroUSB port.

READ ALSO: Huawei Y6s with GMS Launched in Nepal: Does It Stand a Chance Against the Redmi 8?

Underneath the plastic exterior, the Y7p houses an Octa-Core Kirin 710F. Paired alongside is a 4/64GB internal setup which should be able to manage just fine. On the surficial level, the phone comes with EMUI 9.1 on top of Android 9.

Now, check out the cameras. There’s a triple camera array up the rear which has a 48MP f/1.8 sensor as the primary gunner. For support, there’s an 8MP f/2.4 ultrawide and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. Meanwhile in the hole punch setup in the front, there’s an 8MP f/2.0 selfie shooter.

Finally, powering the entire device is a fairly decent 4000mAh battery that comes in with no so decent 10W standard charger. Here’s one thing to note about the whole device though – there’s no Google Play Services in the device, it comes with Huawei’s own Huawei Mobile Services. You’re stuck with HMS altogether which involves certain compromises. No Google Services, absence of your favorite applications are the basic compromises you may have to deal with.

Huawei Y7p Overview
