The Tribhuvan International Airport<\/a> (TIA) has installed a digital system of clearing goods, courtesy of the Department of Customs <\/a>(DoC), reports The Himalayan Times<\/a>. The system is called Automated System for Customs Data (ASYCUDA).<\/p>\n The system was in inaugurated at the TIA customs office by Revenue Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Shishir Kumar Dhungana. Dhungana said that this system will help enhance the administrative functioning of the customs office and reduce the cost of business.<\/p>\n Ram Sharan Chimoriya, Director General of DoC, said that the new system would also help in reducing fraud and would provide efficient service.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
