Despite this, you should definitely check the all-new Tata Tiago XZ+. Honestly, it is still the family-friendly, sporty hatchback with practicality on the mind. While some of the features are missing, the rest of them is an added improvement over the predecessor.

“Tata Tiago.”

When did you hear that name? Maybe… a year ago?

Before there was a Suzuki Wagon R or Hyundai Santro or Datsun GO, the streets of Kathmandu were practically filled with Tata Tiago. Quite frankly, it was an exceptional hatchback, satisfying every practical need. Furthermore, the Tiago was sporty and family-oriented built to handle the real world. Combine that with an affordable price, none of the competition had any chance.

However, it has been quite a while since we’ve heard the “Tiago” name. After the launch of Tata NRG, maybe NRG was next on-the-line to take on the Tiago’s mantel. Plus, the similarity between both hatchbacks, made those thoughts even more realistic.

Thankfully, that is not the case! Sipardi Trading, the authorized distributors of Tata Motors in Nepal, has introduced the all-new Tata Tiago XZ+ in Nepal. This new variant brings in some much-need changes along with some cool new features. Likewise, it is following on its predecessor footsteps with a relatively affordable price! Tata Tiago XZ+ price in Nepal starts at Rs. 24,15,000.

Tata Tiago XZ+ Overview

Tata Tiago XZ+ is powered by Tata’s own 1.2-liter Revotron Petrol Engine. Yes, this is the same engine previously seen other Tata Hatchbacks. So, this can generate a max power of 84BHP and max torque of 114Nm. Furthermore, it gets a five-speed manual transmission along with 35L of fuel capacity.

Additionally, Tiago XZ+ does not have, now standard, 60/40 split. However, the rear seats can be fully folded to expand the overall storage.

Tata Tiago XZ+ is available in SIX color variations: Copper Diesel, Espresso Brown, Pearlescent White, Platinum Silver, Blue, and Berry Red.

Tata Tiago XZ+ Features

Okay, that’s the same as before. So, what’s different?

You will see a major design change in the Tata Tiago XZ+. On the outside, you will get a sportier car with smoked-out projector lamps, blacked-out styling, rear-chrome finish, and 15-inch Diamond-Cut wheels.

On the inside, you will see a 7-inch infotainment system (with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), Climate Control, Steering-mounted controls, power steering, among others. Comparatively, you will see a significant improvement compared to the predecessor. Although, some of the features could’ve improved slightly more.

Talking about the safety features, there’s a Dual-Airbags, ABS, EBD, Speed-Sensing Door Locks and Rear-Sensors. However, the rear parking camera is still missing.

Tata Tiago XZ+ is back with a bang! The entire appeal has gotten more attractive, with a stronger build and the included abundant list of features. While the good definitely got better, there few things missing on the 2019 Tata Tiago XZ Plus.

Well, this isn’t quite a make-or-break deal. However, I do feel that Tata could’ve easily given the customers a lot more at this price.
