Vivo launched vivo V19 earlier this week in Nepal. And, the company now has launched vivo Y30 in Nepal today.

vivo Y30 is the latest entry in its Y series smartphones and it’s now available in Nepal. vivo Y30 price in Nepal starts at Rs. 24,999 for its 4GB RAM variant. The phone is available in two colors Emerald Black and Moonstone White.

Design

vivo Y30 has a plastic back with a huge rectangular quad-camera module. On the front, it has a punch-hole display. It borrows design elements from vivo V19 as well.

The design looks really sleek and premium. The bezels and chin are also very thin due to its hole-punch design.

Display

vivo Y30 features a 6.47 inches IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels.

The screen boasts an impressive 83% screen-to-body ratio. However, it is only an HD panel that could turn off plenty of consumers.

Hardware

vivo Y30 features MediaTek Helio P35 chipset which will definitely raise some eyebrows. It has an Octa-core CPU and it is based on a 12nm process.

For graphics, it has the PowerVR GE8320 GPU. Along with this, it will come with 4 GB RAM/64GB ROM and 4GB RAM/128GB ROM option.

Helio P35 is a budget-oriented chipset. It can be seen on phones like Oppo A3s and Huawei Y6s which are priced way below 20k.

For Rs 24,999, vivo Y30 should have had a better mid-range processor.

Camera

vivo Y30 has a quad-camera setup with a 13MP main sensor. Along with the 13MP sensor, it gets an 8MP ultrawide angle sensor, 2MP macro sensor, and 2MP depth sensor on the rear.

Whereas it gets a dual-camera setup on the front with 32MP main sensor and 8MP ultrawide sensor.

Battery

vivo Y30 features a 5000 mAh battery along with 10W fast charging.

The battery is impressive and it should last for more than a day. But, 10W charging in this day and age?

Moving on, vivo Y30 runs on Funtouch OS 10 on top of Android 10. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and retains the 3.5mm headphone jack as well.

vivo Y30 Price in Nepal, Availability, and Impressions

The spec sheet of vivo Y30 is not impressive. I mean Helio P35 chipset is an old chipset and it’s not powerful enough to compete against the likes of Redmi Note 9, and Samsung M21 which are its prime competition.

Also, it lacks better fast charging, which is another disappointing aspect along with the inclusion of HD display.

vivo V30 price in Nepal is Rs. 24,999 (4/64GB) and Rs. 27,999 (4/128GB). The phone is unquestionably very expensive.

We are getting an HD display and underwhelming old processor for Rs. 24,999. Also, it does not have support for fast charging.
