Now Keep Track of Reconstruction Works With “Surakshit Ghar” App

The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) is now taking a new initiative by releasing a reconstruction mobile app with which people can view the reconstruction activities being done throughout the country. The app Surakshit Ghar, released on May 9, was developed by Build Change, an international organization, working in Nepal after the earthquake.

This reconstruction mobile app includes audiovisual information related to the post-quake reconstruction as earthquake resistant building, statistics of carpenter recognized by the government for reconstruction works, rules to be followed to get a government grant, technical advice, quality construction materials and safety about the construction site.

Regarding the delay in reconstruction, Prof Dr. Govinda Raj Pokharel, Chief Executive Officer of the NRA, said, “Post-earthquake reconstruction task has been prolonged for lack of capable and skilled human resources in the country”.

Noll Thufani, Country Director of the Build Change, has expressed commitment to support in reconstruction task in the days ahead.

The application is freely available in both the languages, Nepali and English. It is currently available for Android system only. You can install it from Google Play Store: Surakshit Ghar.
